  14. ---------------------------- History -----------------------------
  15. Version 5.1 25-Mar-99
  16. * Symmetry of the number 8 improved.
  17. * Curvature of tilde exagerated to prevent it from looking
  18. like a straight line at low point sizes.
  19. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  20. Version 5.0 16-Feb-99
  21. * Several character shapes have been changed to improve
  22. distinctiveness and legibility.
  23. * All character outlines have been made more precise
  24. and uniform, resulting in better on-screen legibility
  25. and consistency (i.e. improved "color").
  26. * The hints for every character have been reviewed and
  27. improved. Because the font does not use delta hints,
  28. however, it's on-screen appearance is not quite as good
  29. at low point sizes as fonts that do.
  30. * Direct support for bold, oblique, and bold oblique
  31. family members has been dropped. The shapes calculated by
  32. the rasterizer look better.
  33. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  34. Version 4.0 11-Dec-97
  35. * The on-screen appearance has been improved considerably.
  36. * Characters are slightly (about 2%) narrower, allowing
  37. more characters per line.
  38. * MS-DOS graphics characters have been added. As a result
  39. the character keymap has changed somewhat. The keycodes
  40. for the standard characters has not changed, but the
  41. keycodes of special characters such as '(c)' (copyright)
  42. have changed.
  43. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  44. Version 3.0 24-Jan-97
  45. * Fixed a problem with the attributes of the oblique
  46. family members.
  47. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  48. Version 2.0 5-May-96
  49. * The entire font family (regular, oblique, bold, and
  50. bold oblique is supported.
  51. * The weight of the font has been made considerably
  52. more uniform.
  53. * Character shapes have been tweaked for a better
  54. screen appearance.
  55. * Additional character positions have been filled to
  56. prevent problems with desktop publishing applications.
  57. ------------------------------------------------------------------
  58. Version 1.0 3-Oct-95
  59. * Origination
